I am loving this style. Is it possible to get this effect in unreal engine I wonder? Would make an awesome style for a full on game that's for sure. What was used to make this?

Thanks so much!! All made from scratch in Blender, with textures done by eye in Aseprite. Not the most efficient, but plenty of fun!
Man this really captures the era LOL I love it.
They convert it into pure happiness from the look on their faces LOL this is great.
Ty!
This was on my wishlist and I forgot! I gotta go grab a copy now thanks for reminding me :)
YES! Have fun!!!!!! :D
That's fkn insane I love it.
Simon Belmont the Conan of darkness hunting! The original look he had when the series began is still my favorite one.
I was sitting here trying to think of how to make this work in unreal engine or something. I don't see why it couldn't be done. Someone already showed a way to keep sprites facing the camera etc a while back too basically doom style or whatever. Some basic geometry to layer background sprites over and it should look like this.
Ive been using Unity Engine to work these up. Its not hard at all, not very computationally demanding either. I'll drop a preview of the lighting system in the future.
These are awesome. Good use of the negative space.
Dragon boxing done as a fighting game would be insane just sayin.
Been a minute since I seen such a detailed piece I guess I need to take a look at some of the other pieces you did. The etching on the glass is still one of my favorite parts of this. That and the lights flares coming off the fairy too.
